Which will reign? Psychologist Carl Jung once wrote that there were two basic forces in life: the will to love and the will to power. The more we have of one, the less we have of the other. In Psychological Reflections, Jung wrote: “Where love reigns, there is no will to power; and where the will to power is paramount, love is lacking. The one is but the shadow of the other.”
